Under an agreement with the Department of Justice to resolve a complaint by a deaf patient, a pediatrician agreed to provide auxiliary aids and services, including qualified sign language interpreters when necessary, to ensure effective communication with deaf patients. The doctor also agreed to pay the complainant $1,500.
