Protection and Advocacy  The Protection and Advocacy for Persons with developmental Disabilities (PADD) Program was created by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights (DD) Act of 1975. P&As are required by the Act to pursue legal, administrative and other appropriate remedies to protect and advocates for the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities under all applicable federal and state laws

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, Inc. (DREDF)  Founded in 1979 by people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities, the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, Inc. (DREDF) is a national law and policy center dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities through legislation, litigation, advocacy, technical assistance, and education and training of attorneys, advocates, persons with disabilities, and parents of children with disabilities.

Disability Rights Advocates  Founded in 1993, Disability Rights Advocates is a national and international organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities. Run by and for people with disabilities, DRA pursues its mission through research, education and legal advocacy. DRA's mission is to ensure dignity, equality and opportunity for people with all types of disabilities throughout the United States and worldwide

The Western Law Center for Disability Rights  Serving the Southern California area, the mission of the Western Law Center for Disability Rights is "to promote the rights of people with disabilities and the public interest in and awareness of those rights by providing legal and related services."
